LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Barrett Baber will hit the stage once again tonight, this time singing for his shot at “The Voice” semifinals.

He’s in the Top 9, but this week, 5 contestants will be going home.

The Fayetteville singer-songwriter pointed out he’s the oldest contestant left and he says that gives him an  advantage.

“I got two young kids. I’ve been staying up late and getting up early for a long, long time. I think staying up late is something that these young kids do a lot of, I don’t know about the getting up early part. But I’m ready. I’m  ready to work and have always been ready to work and have understood that it takes an immense amount of work to reach your goals as a musician and artist,” he says.

Baber also said he knows he’s going to be tired, but says he’s used to running on fumes. He took to social media to post a video thanking his fans, especially everyone in Arkansas, for having his back and being a part of this journey with him. Also some exciting news, some of his original music, his EP Falling Again, making it to the top 100 on the iTunes country chart. He says that alone is awesome.

Here’s how it works, of the Top 9, only four will make it through.

The Top 3 vote getters will automatically move on to the finals.

The bottom 3 vote getters will automatically be eliminated from the show.

The middle three vote getters will all sing 1 song for the chance at the final spot in the final show, then there will be a Twitter save.

You can vote for Barrett Baber online and on your smartphone, just download “The Voice” app.
