LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – A woman is hospitalized after being shot outside an apartment on the city’s west side.

Little Rock Police were called to the 1600 block of Green Mountain Drive in regards to a shooting just after 12 a.m. Friday.

At the scene officers found the 23-year-old woman lying on the ground on the east side of the apartment building at Pleasant Point Apartment. Officers checked her wounds and compressed the areas to reduce the bleeding. MEMS took her to a nearby hospital. According to the police report, she was shot twice in the stomach and three times in the right arm.

According to the police report, the victim’s brother said he was in an argument about another woman with his girlfriend Kee– who he had been seeing for a week and a half–and she had asked him to come to Pleasant Point Apartments. He told officers he and his sister drove around the complex until they saw Kee. The man said that Kee was with four men and one raised a gun with a red light on it and started shooting.

The report states that the men were standing below the ‘X’ sign on building X near the northwest corner.

Police collected multiple witness reports. One witness said he was coming outside his apartment door when he heard 15 shots and saw a man wearing a red shirt with a gun and a man wearing a white shirt running toward the swimming pool and tennis courts. He added that he saw three women start walking behind the two suspects toward the swimming pool area as well.

Another witness said he saw three men, one wearing a white shirt and dark colored pants and the other two wearing dark colored clothing picking up casing off the ground.

All other witnesses said they only heard gunshots.

Officers found multiple bullet holes in the driver side of the vehicle and shell casings on the north side of building X.

Police have not yet released details about a suspect at this time.
