Update: Escaped Inmate Captured in St. Francis County

ST. FRANCIS COUNTY, Ark. (localmemphis.com) – An inmate who escaped the St. Francis County Jail Christmas Eve has been captured.

Paul McGee was being held on charges of forgery, burglary, criminal mischief, and theft of property.

The St. Francis County Sheriff’s Office has not said how McGee escaped. His last known address is in Marianna, Arkansas.

The sheriff’s office said McGee was captured early Thursday morning after they received a tip to his whereabouts. They say they found him on SFC 415 and he tried to get away, but was taken into custody.
