HIGHFILL, Ark. – An uber driver wanted for strangulation in Alabama was arrested in northwest Arkansas.

Christopher Jenson was pulled over by police during a traffic stop and then officers learned he was wanted out of state.

Jensen is an Uber and Lyft driver and had a passenger in his car when he was stopped.

“We don’t have any indication that the passenger was in any kind of danger, he was according to what we know of the situation. He was abiding by all the Uber and Lyft guidelines. He was a valid driver for those companies, but we also understand that the inherent criminal element was still there with this gentleman,” says Chief of Police Blake Webb, with Highfill Police Department.

Jenson is currently in the Benton County Jail awaiting extradition to Alabama.
