HOT SPRINGS, Ark. – Five pedestrians were injured Monday evening after a drunk driving crash.

Hot Springs Police were called just before 5:30 p.m. to 601 Higdon Ferry in regards to a pedestrian accident.

Five people were injured, including a 1-year-old. Two of the victims, Ruth Harris, and a juvenile male were airlifted to Little Rock for treatment. Harris was listed in critical condition and the juvenile was listed in serious condition.

The driver of the vehicle, Louise Young, 72, of Hot Springs, said she was pulling into a parking space when she pressed the gas pedal instead of the brakes and struck the pedestrians.
