BENTON, Ark. (News release) – Detectives of the Saline County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) are asking the public for help in identifying two suspects who have been forging checks.

The two female suspects pictured above used account numbers from stolen checks in order to create new, forged checks with fake names and other personal information. They then used these forged checks to steal money from the victim’s checking accounts.  One of the false names used by the females is “Varneasha N. Taylor.”

The surveillance photographs were taken at a Shoe Carnival store in North Little Rock when the two suspects used the forged checks to purchase items. The first report of these female suspects forging checks in this manner was on January 3 but they may have been doing so before that date.

Please contact the SCSO CID if you may know who these two suspects are or if you have any other information about this crime.  The non-emergency dispatch telephone number is 501-303-5647, or you may call the anonymous crime tip hotline at 501-303-5744.
