The eight-day Jewish holiday of Hanukkah begins at sundown on Sunday, December 18.

Also called the Festival of Lights, it’s a time of celebration that begins with lighting the menorah and continues with family gatherings that include traditional foods.

On many holiday tables you’ll find everything from sufganiyot to linzer tart, rugelach and babka.
