Haylee Brooks joined the station in March 2019, as the breaking news Digital News Now anchor and live shot reporter. Just a few months later, she became a general assignment reporter.
Haylee comes to Arkansas from KMID/KPEJ, our sister station in Texas, where she worked as a Multimedia Journalist. During her time in West Texas, she covered stories ranging from high profile crimes and wildfires to rescued animals and community events.
Before moving to Texas, Haylee was born and raised in Minnesota where she majored in Mass Communications at St. Cloud State University. During college, much of her time was spent at UTVS, the campus news station, where she worked as a reporter, anchor, producer, weather and international reporter for several years.
Haylee has always enjoyed being creative on and off camera, one of her most memorable moments was filming out of a helicopter for the EAA AirVentures in Wisconsin.
Outside of the newsroom, you can find Haylee with her rescue dog, Beau, at the dog park, spending time with family, cooking or crafting up the latest Pinterest diy.
Haylee loves meeting new people and connecting with the community.
