Beebe Principal Placed on Paid Administrative Leave After Arrest

Beebe Middle School Principal Arrested

BEEBE, Ark. - The Beebe School District has placed Beebe Middle School Principal Brandy Dillin on paid administrative leave Friday afternoon.

The Beebe School District released a statement Friday morning in response to Dillin's arrest.

Dillin was arrested Thursday for having parties with underage drinking.

The following is the full statement from the Beebe School District:

The Beebe School District is never supportive of underage drinking or drugs in any way. Ms. Brandy Dillin is a highly-respected member of our staff and over her many years of employment, has repeatedly proven her concern for children. She has provided that she had no knowledge, or in no way, had anything to do with a party outside of her home. In fact, she has witnesses to affirm her nonparticipation.

With the immediate response of media in situations such as this, it seems people are quick to assume guilty before proven innocent, instead of the opposite. We know Ms. Dillin is an honest, hard-working professional who has worked diligently to achieve her position. We will allow our current legal system's process to operate and allow Ms. Dillin to clear up any current misunderstandings.
